SVNLL 2008 Try-out Information
Information for the 2008 Year
- Weather permitting, we will be outside again this year.
- Please come prepared with jackets.
- Bring a glove, and tennis shoes and cleats. T-Ball and Crazy-8’s do not attend try-outs.
- You must attend at least one session to be eligible. If you cannot attend tryouts you must notify the SVNLL player agent by January 20 in writing.

- Try-outs are for team placement only. Every player will be placed on a team.
- If a player has not shown an approved birth certificate to an SVNLL league official, they will not be able to try-out or participate in Sno Valley North Little League.

Baseball
- 13-14 year olds – 8:30 AM
- 11-12 year olds – 9:45 AM
- 9-10 year olds- 11:15 AM
Softball
- 10-11-12 year olds 1:15 PM
- 8-9 year olds 2:00 PM
League age is determined by what age a Player is on a certain date. Baseball 4/30/2008, Softball 12/31/2007.
Tryout Expectations
Snoqualmie Valley North wants to ensure that all players and parents have proper expectations regarding the tryouts scheduled for January 2008.
“Tryouts” are an assessment of a player’s skill level (minors and above**). During tryouts a player will be scored based on their ability to field balls, throwing and of course hitting. The scores are tallied and the player is assessed an overall score or rank. This scoring helps the player agent and the managers determine team rosters and placements based upon age and ability. Every player from Minors, Coast, Majors, Junior’s and Senior’s must be rated at a tryout session (upper levels of baseball and all of softball).
** TBall and C-8 players do not try-out. TBall and C-8 players are placed on a team based on a combination age, school and the approved manager player’s school.
EVERY player is placed on a team!
There will be two tryout sessions for each age level. If on the first scheduled tryout day a player has an “off” day, he/she can attend the second tryout - if they choose to do so. However, every player that participates in a tryout is assured and guaranteed to be on a team regardless of his/her performance during the tryout(s). In the case of a known absence, arrangements for pre-registration must be facilitated by the Player Agent.
